DMRC ने ट्वीट्स की सीरीज़ में बताया कि दिल्ली मेट्रो के 17 मेट्रो स्टेशन बंद रहेंगे. ये मेट्रो स्टेशन हैं, लाल क़िला, जामा मस्जिद, चांदनी चौक, विश्वविद्यालय, जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया, जसोला विहार, शाहीन बाग, मुनीरका, पटेल चौक, लोक कल्याण मार्ग, उद्योग भवन, आईटीओ, प्रगति मैदान, ख़ान मार्केट, सेंट्रल सेक्रेटेरियट, मंडी हाउस और वसंत विहार
बीते 15 दिसंबर को जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया में विरोध प्रदर्शन ने हिंसक रूप ले लिया था और पुलिस ने बर्बरता दिखते हुए हॉस्टल, लाइब्रेरी और कैंपस में घुसकर छात्रों को मारा था. 17 दिसंबर को दिल्ली के सीलमपुर में नागरिकता संशोधन एक्ट के ख़िलाफ़ हो रहा विरोध भी अचानक आक्रामक हो गया था.
