सच में ज़माना बदल रहा है और लोगों की सोच भी. इसका ताज़ा उदाहरण हाल ही में हुई ये शादी है, जिसकी सोशल मीडिया पर काफ़ी चर्चा हो रही है. बात ये है कि इस कपल ने समाज की रुढ़िवादी विचारधारा को तोड़ते हुए, शादी के वक़्त एक-दूसरे के पैर छुए.

दीपा खोसला और Oleg Buller ने आपसी सहमति से शादी के बाद एक-दूसरे के पैर छूने का निर्णय लिया. वहीं जब दीपा ने ये प्रस्ताव अपनी मम्मी के सामने रखा, तो वो हैरान रह गईं. इस्टाग्राम पोस्ट के ज़रिये दीपा बताती हैं, ‘मेरा फ़ैसला सुनने के बाद मम्मी ने मुझे बड़ी-बड़ी आंखे कर घूरते हुए कहा कि सारे अंकल-आंटी इसे स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे और लोग क्या कहेंगे.’

A few months before the wedding, when my mother told us about all the steps and beautiful ceremonies of the Indian wedding, there was one contentious point: the touching of the man’s feet at the completion of the Indian Wedding ceremony. 🙌🏼 ~ “Why is only the woman to touch the man’s feet?”, we asked. “Why not both touch each other’s feet in mutual respect?” Mom’s shocked large eyes gave away her thoughts about what people might say if Oleg was to touch my feet in return. All the anties and uncles…wouldn’t they disapprove? 😱 ~ Though Mom’s traditional Indian background did not allow her to be sure about this being a good thing, we were sure. We would both touch each other’s feet in mutual respect from woman to man, and from man to woman. From a wife to her husband, and from a husband to his wife. 🙏🏼 ~ As we also decided to adopt, out of that same mutual respect, each others surnames. As from today onwards we are Oleg Büller-Khosla and Diipa Büller-Khosla. (whether it would be Büller first or Khosla first was still a discussion, but I let him have that one:))😉♥️ #thebullslas #indianwedding

पर कपल पूरे सम्मान के साथ अपने निर्णय पर अड़ा रहा और वो ही किया, जो उन्होंने सोचा था. यही नहीं, शादी के बाद लड़के ने अपना नाम बदल कर Oleg E.H. Büller-Khosla और लड़की ने Diipa Büller-Khosla कर लिया है.

भारतीय और यूरोपियन रीति-रिवाज़ से हुई ये शादी सोशल मीडिया पर लोगों का दिल जीत रही है.

पति-पत्नी के रिश्ते में प्यार और विश्वास के साथ बराबरी भी होनी चाहिए.
