उत्तर प्रदेश के हाथरस की एक 19 वर्षीय दलित महिला की दिल्ली के सफ़दरजंग अस्पताल में मृत्यु हो गई. एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, इस महिला के साथ उसके गांव के 4 सवर्णों ने बीते 14 सितंबर को गैंगरेप किया था.
दोषी महिला के गांव के ही थे और सभी को गिरफ़्तार कर लिया गया है.
मृतका के भाई का कहना है कि मुख्य आरोपी, शराबी है और अक्सर महिलाओं को परेशान करता था पर किसी ने कभी कोई शिकायत दर्ज़ नहीं की.
