कनाडाई प्रधानमंत्री जस्टिन ट्रूडो भारत में चल रहे किसान आंदोलन पर बयान देकर बुरी तरह ट्रोल हो गए हैं. दरअसल, नए कृषि कानूनों के ख़िलाफ़ प्रदर्शन कर रहे किसानों के प्रति ट्रुडो ने अपना समर्थन जताया. साथ ही स्थिति को गंभीर और चिंताजनकर भी करार दिया.
जस्टिन ट्रूडो सोमवार को गुरु नानक की 551 वीं जयंती मनाने के लिए एक ऑनलाइन कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुए थे. यहां अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने भारत में चल रहे किसानों के प्रदर्शन का हवाला देते हुए कहा कि, ‘शांतिपूर्ण विरोध के अधिकार की रक्षा के लिए कनाडा हमेशा खड़ा रहेगा.’ आगे उन्होंने कहा कि स्थिति चिंताजनक है और कई लोग अपने दोस्तों और परिवार के बारे में चिंतित हैं.
ज़ाहिर तौर पर ट्रूडो ने ये टिप्पणी कनाडा के प्रभावशाली भारतीय मूल के प्रवासी लोगों को ध्यान में रखकर की है, जिसकी अब चौतरफ़ा आलोचना भी की जा रही है.
शिवसेना नेता प्रियंका चतुर्वेदी ने ट्वीट कर जस्टिन ट्रूडो के जवाब दिया कि भारत का आंतरिक मुद्दा किसी अन्य राष्ट्र की राजनीति के लिए चारा नहीं है. उन शिष्टाचारों का सम्मान करें जो हम हमेशा अन्य देशों तक बढ़ाते हैं.
