‘जाते हुए भी तड़पाते हो आते हुए भी

 ऐ मेरे कल तू क्यों इतना बेरहम है’

दिल्ली आज कुछ ऐसा ही महसूस कर रही है. ‘कल’ जिसने तबाही का मंज़र दिखाया. ‘कल’ जो किसी अनहोनी से सहमा हुआ है. सीएए समर्थन और विरोध के नाम पर जो दंगे भड़के उसने 38 बेगुनाह ज़िंदगियों को लील लिया.


उत्तर-पूर्वी दिल्ली में सरकारी-निजी संपत्ति को बरबाद कर दिया गया. जो दुकानें किसी परिवार की रोज़ी-रोटी का ज़रिया थीं, जला दी गईं. जो स्कूल आने वाले भविष्य का निर्माण कर रहे थे, ध्वस्त कर दिये गए. जो जिंदगियां किसी के घर का चिराग थीं, बुझा दी गईं.

दंगाईयों ने जो घाव शहर को दिया है, उसका दर्द ये तस्वीरें बयां कर रही हैं.

“The school has been running since 1987. The incident happened around 5 pm on Tuesday. They came and burnt down everything. We have lost records of 30 years. The only thing we are thankful is that there were no children at that time in the school, otherwise the loss would have been huge,” Bhisham Sharma, the owner of the school, said the rioters burnt books worth Rs 70 lakh. Shaheen, parent of a class 7 student of the school said, “Why did the rioters have to burn down a school which educates students? They are burning everything else and could have spared schools.
