उन्नाव में बीते गुरूवार यानि 5 दिसंबर को जिस रेप सर्वाइवर को 5 लड़कों ने पेट्रोल डालकर जलाया था उस सर्वाइवर ने दम तोड़ दिया है. 90 प्रतिशत जली रेप सर्वाइवर को शुक्रवार को दिल्ली के सफ़दरजंग अस्पताल लाया गया था, जहां रात के 11:40 बजे उसने दम तोड़ दिया.

अस्पताल के बर्न एंड प्लास्टिक सर्जरी डिपार्टमेंट के हेड डॉ. शलभ कुमार ने बताया,
हमारी कोशिशों के बावजूद भी हम उसे नहीं बचा पाए. पीड़िता को रात 11 बजकर10 मिनट पर कार्डियक अरेस्ट आया उसका इलाज चल ही रहा था, लेकिन रात में 11 बजकर 40 मिनट पर उसकी मौत हो गई. पीड़िता के शव को मोर्चरी में भेज दिया गया है. अस्पताल में मौजूद पीड़िता की मां, बहन और भाई को इसके बारे में बता दिया गया है.

आपको बता दें, इसी साल मार्च में पीड़िता के साथ रेप हुआ था, जिसकी सुनवाई के लिए वो रायबरेली कोर्ट जा रही थी. वो उस समय अकेली थी और 2 आरोपियों के साथ तीन लोगों ने मिलकर उसे पेट्रोल डालकर आग लगा दी. हालांकि, पुलिस ने पांचों आरोपी को गिरफ़्तार कर लिया है.
